Throughout my training, I have primarily worked at university counseling centers and particularly enjoy working with young adults and identity development. I also have experience in settings including managed care, inpatient hospitalization, and partial hospitalization. I collaborate with other providers and value being a part of a treatment team. I often work with primary care providers, dietitians, and psychiatrists in supporting my clients. In addition, I provide pro bono WPATH letters of support for gender-affirming transition.

MY APPROACH

I primarily work from a psychodynamic/relational lens while integrating intersectional and feminist frameworks into therapy. I also integrate other behavioral approaches into my work including DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy).

I emphasize exploring the roots of your concerns and gaining insight into how your past experiences, relationships, and unique identities have shaped you & your mental health. While we explore and understand the past, we also will work together to empower you with resources & skills to tackle your current difficulties. My approach is collaborative and I value receiving feedback from you and ensuring your voice is heard, respected, and affirmed in our relationship.

My priority in our work together is to create a safe space where you can feel truly seen and accepted as your whole self. I bring a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective to name and honor your resilience. In our work together, I aim to be compassionate, curious, and authentic while bringing a good dose of humor and relatability.

PERSONAL

I was raised in a one stoplight town in Pennsylvania where I grew up loving the outdoors. I have lived in Colorado for the past 12 years and enjoy hiking, being outside, cooking new dishes, cuddling up with a good read, and seeing live music.
